I am currently streaming my own radio station, but I have run into an issue. I've got a Shoutcast server, and have played with Edcast (Oddcast for those who remember the old name), the SHoutcast DSP, and SAM Broadcaster. My problem with streaming is that I need an accessible piece of broadcasting software. SAM is very hard to use with JAWS 9, unless I can find some scripts.
The only thing I ask is that it needs to have most of the functionality of SAM, with half the misery of poor accessibility.
As I said on Twitter, www.blindcooltech.com has a podcast or two on streaming stuff. If I remember rightly Sarah Alewami, sp? did one on some sort of streaming software. That should give you an idea or two.
Also on ACB radio main menu they did some shows about broadcasting and they review some possibilities. But it was long time since i listened so i don't remember exactly the name of the software.

I have tried another option since yesterday, and it seems fairly accessible, but requires I use Edcast or the Shoutcast DSP as a middleware solution... Zara Radio, from www.zararadio.com. It seems to do most of what I want, but it does have some quirks of it's own. It can route the outgoing audio through one sound card (2 are recommended... I have 4 according to the PC... the SB Audigy, the SoundMax onboard chip, some modem thingie, and the USB headset) The voice over functions don't seem to work, at least from my experience, and there isn't a easy way to semd the metadata to clients... but otherwise, it's ok.
My biggest problem is which streaming server to use... Shoutcast is fairly easy, but lacks the ability to run more than one stream at a time (broadband and dialup for example), and Icecast is somewhat of a bitch to use, but can be very powerful (and can handle multiple streams from one port). Decisions, Decisions...

i'm not sure problem you have like me or not about sam broadcaster i'm use jaws 9 and have problem when i searching song i tap to list of song i can't press cursur up and down like it not read i have trip to fix problem i use jaws cursur to do that
example i i search song better im time i type in edit box and i press tap 2 time to song and use jaws cursur insert plus - but make sure your numlog is turn off and press up and down to find it if you found track you want to you must press mouse click button and press enter if you want your song put in buttom of q i'm not sure you understand or not i hope you understand my tirp oh forget to tell you something before you press mouse click you must press left or right to make sure you found number iof song if you found number of song you can press mouse click and press enter to put a song in a q
